A craze that is sure to continue...zebra-mania. We see it everywhere from printed bed linens, and faux to real rugs. I think there's some lasting power to this animal print, but...
consider new ways of using it, to keep it fresh! I've read some great posts on zebra rugs and their use, and we've all seen this rug in different settings...what comes to mind is the zebra rug over seagrass combo (seen alot of that)...but check out this image I found in my files, of a different pairing...
What do you think? Is this a combo that works in your opinion??

I think the thing that makes all the pattern work is the symmetrical layout and the black accents. I think the room would look better without the zebra.
I love this combo! I would say this is a little more my taste than the zebra/seagrass, I love the layering of the different patterns.
i do love the idea of layering patterns and specifically zebra (which i love) over another texture/pattern but this particular image is just okay to me. i agree with patricia gray above that i think, in this case, it would look better without the zebra.
Ummmm.... no. I love layering patterns, but this whole room is just not working for me at all.
I'm good with the zebra in this context---i love the global feel and it reminds me of the way that rugs and skins are layered in a nomadic tribe's tent. In general I think zebra is in the same camp as coral----that is to say, overused but still a guilty pleasure! I especially love anything Oly Studio upholstered in zebra print pony hair...drool!
Love the combination, just think the placement could be better. The zebra coming at the other rug at an angle rather than just sitting on top.
Love all these comments!! I agree with HBC that placement is key!
I wish I could find more pictures of a similar application for us to compare, if you know of any would you mind contacting me, because I'd love to add them to this post!!

I agree with House... the zebra needs to be a little more casually laid out!
I really love it actually! First of all, Zebra will NEVER go out of style. Second, Zebra is such a neutral for me, that I like it placed anywhere. I agree that it has a global feel like the other rug and really makes the room so much more interesting.
I love the zebra rug, it adds a lot of contrast and interest in the room....
While I think this looks nice enough - I also would find it really disturbing to have the skin of an exotic lying on my floor. A little morbid and really sad.
There are so many faux zebra prints out there that could be just as easily incorporated into the room.
