What the flock ?!?!

Yeah, I know. But what are we doing, are we still flocking our walls? See daily, I have sensory overload, with fabrics, wallpaper, and trims...from showrooms to rep meetings, I see a lot of this stuff!!

(Paris Apartment stumbled upon some flocks while visiting Paris...)

And this is why I ask..last year it was flock this and flock that, every paper had it...

Designer's Guild keeps on flocking...

so does Romo wallcoverings with this Lasari Flock collection...

even Brocade Home stocks tons of flocked papers. So this style has hit mainstream for sure...and what do we think? On the way out or still a hot style??

It's a huge commitment for the cash layout. I don't mind the print as much as the idea that it's raised flock....a little too velvety.

Kate - personally I am SO over flocking! Lately when a fabric rep comes into Black & Spiro to show me a new fabric/wallpaper range and it is flocked I just skip right over it! It's out with the flock for me!

I know, this stuff is up there in price and wallpaper in general is a bit of a commitment!!

I'm with you Anna, for a while it was like every company had a flocked paper and a crushed velvet on linen fabric...

Over it, over it! Unless it is tone on tone, in creams or whites where you barely notice it, stripes only, no more thank you. Way too trendy to be classic or fresh anymore.

I think DG's wallpapers are great but for me flocking is out . I've seen them too much all over

You either love it or you don't. If you're into it, it never goes out of style.

I generally like flocking, but only for very specific designs and items. I don't know that I would use flocked wallpaper for an entire room - probably a bit much for me.
