A hip Hampton's retreat...

designed by movie star/rocker wife Gwyneth Paltrow. Yup, you heard me. I came across this home featured House and Garden website while surfin' the net and thought I'd post it to see what what your thoughts are...come on, it's Friday, it's not like your really working :)

"I've become an encyclopedia of design for my friends," says Gwyneth during the interview...

Cool colors all round and I love the Madeline Weinrib's Hollywood Regency chair aside the fireplace...

Um, it wouldn't be a rocker's house with out a pair of worn out chucks lying around...

A big open kitchen, which was Gwyneth's idea to double the size...

Little Apple's room, which features a custom canopy bed by Jonas, Inc., NYC, and boasts fabrics from Raoul Textiles...

I think that print looks quite familiar...maybe a custom black on black Imperial Trellis by KWID...

The Master Bedroom features the Thurman bed from Usona and Wendell Castle's Muse side table...

So, what do you think...should we now be calling Gwyneth a movie star/ rocker wife/ interior designer ?!?!?

**Well Happy Friday!!! Hope you have a great weekend! Oh, and check out Habitually Chic blog because I was just told she has the behind the scenes photos of this shoot :)**

It's the cover story for the Nov. issue. I bought it on Wed. - sometimes stores in NYC sneak issues early on the newstand! The home is pretty & serene which is right up my alley -- and I do like it a lot, but not nearly as much I thought I would. However, I'd be happy to live there.

The Imperial Trellis wallpaper in the bathroom might not be custom. It could be the color Sable Gloss avaiable on www.kwid.com. Or maybe do they do print a black version... it does looks black in my issue.

I always suspected GP was just dull. I was wrong, it turns out she is boring and dull. I just hope no decorators were harmed in her dalliance with design.

You should see Habitually Chic's post on this. She was actually AT this photo shoot! How she does it I don't know, but she is definitely well connected!

Habitually Chic wasn't at the shoot. The photographer shared his photos with her.

Hi Kate, I know those NYC stands always get the hot off the press issues. I know, I looked on KWID site and couldn't find the black version...and wasn't sure is GP used her star power to get a custom color, either way I love it! Thanks for stopping by and commenting :)

I was thinking the same thing H of BC...but then again she's married to a rocker, which is not at all dull. Oh, and I love the last bit to your comment esp. :)

Hi Katie,

I know, I hadn't been by HC site in a few days, but now I feel like taking down this post :( No, but she does seem to have the ins and outs and I love that she can share this with us all.

I have to say, I really like the interiors. And nice work identifying the wallpaper in the bath. Gorgeous. I like that she infuses her home with color and whimsy.

I never would have thought her to be so loose and relaxed. I really like seeing this spread everywhere.

And definitely don't take down your post. So far every blog has their own spin on the interiors, and that's what I enjoy the most!
