In a place where we super-size everything from our burgers, to our homes...it surprising these days to find anything that can still keep it real and maintain simplicity and charm!!! When LA designer Kristen Panitch was faced with a "big remodel" due to a growing family, she went about it with a small town feel...making sure they didn't succumb to building just another big house on the block...but approached it rather, with a perfect attitude in which it was "not about making a big house", but rather about making "little rooms and little spaces."
Love the use of blues and creams in this room, esp the coral...and those Tom Clark floral pillows (atop a Panitch designed sofa) are great too !!!
This 1930's mirror really makes this space (above a Panitch-designed desk)!

I just totally love your blog!!!
I have this house in my "I Love" file and the little sofa pictured I actually copied last year for a client of mine who had a very small lounge/sitting room!! Thanks for refreshing my love for this beautiful house!!

Glad I could do so Anna, thanks for popping in :)
I really liked that house when I first saw it, but I forgot about it! Thanks for showing it to us!!! I wish I had clipped it from the mag!
A house I LOVE!! You beat me to the punch on posting it though :) The tear sheets are in my inspiration notebook. Would love to see more from this designer.
Really, I love this house too (obviously). Funny, I've had it tagged for a while and have been waiting for right time to post :)
