What, where, how are your collections displayed? It's not as easy as they make it look in magazines!!! I know, I've been there...a client has a collection of photographs and wants them to look fantastic in an area, but there are so many options on how they could be arranged. So, here are some magazine snippings I've saved for inspiration on just that; what to do with all those frames...
An even grid, it's simple and effective. I love what Carlos Mota has done with this series here.

Or go wall to wall if you have lots!!! Such an amazing collection of photography from Ellen and Richard Sandor. I don't know if I've ever seen so much.

Everything but the kitchen sink, and well selected mind you. I just love this look!!!

When the pieces are different in size, you can do the frames in the same style. This helps to keep continuity, like Tom Scheerer has done here.

Or go here and there, with no grid. In the home of Rayman Boozer, he has display many pieces on the wall...but some pieces stacked a top the desk, others the floor, and some without art.

You are right! Hanging art can be something of a problem sometimes!Great picks for solutions.
I particularly like the way Scheerer and Boozer have displayed these collections. Both displays look random, but you can tell a lot of thought went into it.
I love these photos. There is just something about a lot of art on the wall (done well) that I just love! I've linked you too.
Just discovered your blog, LOVE IT! Love, love, love what Carlos Mota did...have never stopped thinking about it ever since I saw it. Tried doing it once but didn't work for me...but 1 day!
