Just some inspiration for your Friday...
I've had pagodas on the brain since reading Style Court's blog and Courtney's post on the Chinese Room in the Claydon House and it's influence on current design trends.
Being it Friday, my virtual "shopping day", I went in search for some pagoda inspired designs on 1st dibs, and here is what I found...
Lacquered Chinoserie Cabinet from lawson-fenning on 1st dibs
Pair of Pagoda Lamps from pieces on 1st dibs

These are great! I wonder how much they cost, though ...

Kate- Pagodas are my faves!!!! Thank you. Have a nice weekend!
I am so into anything asian flavoured, and of course love pagodas. Fab photos!
Love all of it! I think the armoire best.
Really cool red Chinese lantern. Love it!
very nice!
Kate, I love all these objects you have chosen! I am really developing a serious thing for chinoiserie. While I abhor the heavy, trite stuff that is so Oriental cliche', I genuinely love all this ornamental oriental gear in lighter hues.
P.S. I was in ZGallerie the other day (of all places) and saw a cool pagoda-style lantern holder made of wood. Actually, it had great bones and was quite chic. It was marked down to only $12 and would look awesome painted - may have to go back and get it.
Beautiful! great research!!!

Thanks you for all your comments, so glad you liked my finds. I was hoping to respond back to each of you....but I am spending my weekend sanding and painting walls :) Wish you all a more relaxing weekend than mine!

Thanks for the mention! That pagoda chandelier used from CR used to be on my wishlist, and that white cabinet--WOW! Great post Kate :)

oh yah, they are so interesting to look at. I almost bought that yellow lamp in the first photo! It was on ebay, but it ended up selling for $400, way too much for me.
That can be the best and worst part of Ebay, you fall in love with something and then so does everyone else and they price you out of buying it. But, I'll keep my eyes open and let you know if I should see something like this one there :)
Thanks for the comment Michelle!
