Get to know...

the very talented NY interior designer Philip Gorrivan....whom, I don't doubt, will soon be a household name....

head over to New York Social Diary for an in-depth interview...it left me thinking so highly of this busy, motivated and very personable designer!!

I love a room that has a perfect balance of antiques and custom goods, like this one here...

The walls covered in a custom wallcovering by China Seas and small banquette upholstered in a velvet striped Bergamo fabric...

I found a similar sea grass wallcovering from Phillip Jefferies and a brown velvet tufted headboard at Ballard Designs...

What lil girl would love this room fit for a princess...

love the lighting in that bedroom. In fact, I really like all the rooms. I'm not a "lil girl," but even I would love to have that bedroom (maybe make the bed a little bigger though, please) :)

Pink, I'm pretty sure that's a custom deal on this one. But, as you probably now, most places will do this sort of thing for designers. Pretty cool, huh!

Love, love, love this man, and his apartment. These images look so different from the ones I've seen published, the lighting is totally different, but it looks so much cosier here. If you haven't already - check out his new range of fabrics through Highland Court.

Great find! I also love the table in the second picture. In fact, everything in that second picture just blows me away. Beautiful.

Thanks for the intro, Kate. I don't think I've ever heard of him, but his work is exceptional - love his look!

Just wanted to let you all know that the rug in the living room is from Stark Carpet, it's called "Windsor Linen", and it's 100% linen. Custom order.
And although the photo isn't 100% clear, I'm pretty sure that the carpet in the bedroom came from Stark too.

I did a post on him, too... I was just gobsmacked by his great rooms. They're practically perfect in every way!
